📦 Understanding Girth Size Limit for Shipping

When sending packages, it’s important to ensure your parcel meets the size limits set by the logistics company. One key measurement is girth. If your package exceeds the maximum girth, it may not be accepted for shipping.

🔍 What is Girth?

Girth is the total measurement around the thickest part of a package.

For shipping purposes, it is calculated using the formula:

Girth = Length + (Width + Height) × 2

Our current shipping policy requires:

✔ Maximum Girth Limit: 260 CM

Any package greater than 260 cm will be considered oversized and rejected.

🧮 How to Calculate Girth (Examples)

Example 1 – Accepted

  • Length: 100 cm
  • Width: 40 cm
  • Height: 30 cm

Girth = 100 + (40 + 30) × 2 = 100 + 140 = 240 cm
Result: Within limit → ✔ Accepted

Example 2 – Oversized (Rejected)

  • Length: 120 cm
  • Width: 60 cm
  • Height: 50 cm

Girth = 120 + (60 + 50) × 2 = 120 + 220 = 340 cm
Result: Exceeds 260 cm → ❌ Rejected
